Mulberry Series Pillows

These fabrics are all hand dyed, then block printed with my hand cut printing blocks.
I use Pebeo Setacolor and Jacquard Lumiere paints for block printing.
These two are 14" square.

This one is a 16 x 12" rectangle. Inserts for these are readily available in hobby and fabric stores.

These four pillows have been posted for sale on Etsy. You can see them here.

A New Pillow Series - Mulberry Block Prints

This is a new group of pillows I have created.
The color scheme is based on my daughter's waiting room. She would like pillows for her spa waiting area, and so I was happy to do it.

These three pillows are actually made up of the scraps left over from the other pillows in the group (to be posted soon).

These are 14 inch pillow covers with an envelope back and Velcro closure. The front cover is layered with bamboo batting and quilted. This gives the pillow a nice firm shape, and although it takes longer to do - I do think it is worthwhile.
I've just posted all three for sale on my Etsy site.

Yellowstone Art Museum Workshop

On Saturday, April 17, I taught a workshop sponsored by Yellowstone Art Museum.
There is a fabulous workspace in their facility.
We were very fortunate that each participant was able to have their own table.

The focus of the workshop was printing on fabric.
With only 6 hours to work - the emphasis was on block printing and screen printing.

The participants first worked with my handcarved blocks and Thermofax screens, and then moved on to create their own.

Some really wonderful samples were created in the class.

Pink Blossoms in New Haven

I'm not sure what this one is. But isn't it just lovely?

This is a smaller tree - maybe only about 10' tall.

More Bloomin' Trees in New Haven

This tree has a weeping silhouette. Like a weeping birch, only covered in pink blossoms. Really lovely.

New Haven Sidewalks Continued

More interesting textures underfoot. I am always on the lookout for good imagery to convert to Thermofax screens. I look forward to working with some of these!
