The subtlety means that the viewer is allowed to "discover" the dragonflies and then is drawn in to look more closely as they search for more.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07100411566414523718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040841898097981185.post-19787206590564423662009-05-21T19:52:26.281-06:002009-05-21T19:52:26.281-06:00I like the blue, especially if you are looking for...I like the blue, especially if you are looking for subtle. If you are concerned about them fading into the background too much, I'd suggest taking a fine point pigma pen and inking around the wings. Or you could stitch either by machine or by hand with a single strand of embroidery thread. If you've seen any of Suzanne Marshall's work, then you know how effective this kind of outline can be.The Idaho Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09979439849662755082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040841898097981185.post-11999146316475334582009-05-21T11:05:02.038-06:002009-05-21T11:05:02.038-06:00I like the blue best. An bright orange dragon-fly seems to be a poisonous one and dragon-flies aren't (I think).
Warmest regards from the other side of the 'pond'.
LyaLyanoreply@blogger.com
