While driving the Steens Mountain Road in July 2011, we saw a LOT of snow. These pictures are from one of the many gorges along the road. This gorge was carved out by a glacier.
There was a muddy trail to the rim of the gorge. It was chilly and windy when we visited. But the views were inspiring!
