Demolition #2


I like the way this hand dyed red compliments this particular piece of deconstructed screen printed fabric.  This one is a bit challenging because there was bleeding of the red dye during the washout and there are areas of pink where it should be white.

I like the way this expanded Thermofax image looks printed in gold on the red hand dyed fabric.
Is the pink area noticeable?

    Can you wash the piece again as the pink may come out? In a group I attend we were discussing the transfer of dyes where you didn't want it and the consensus was that washing the piece again may solve the problem.

  2. I see the pink, but I don't think it detracts from the mix. Have you already stitched the two fabrics together? If not, you might try another washout with hot water/synthrapol. The bleeding might wash out with a second laundering...
