Melting the Fabric Away
Here are a couple of detail shots of the piece after I spent a few hours melting away the sheer fabric between the stitches and between the zinc squares.
Oh, my! Now I get what you were talking about... how fabulous! It looks delicate, and reminds me of some "Shabby Chic" scarves I make using water soluble stabilizer. Once I grid stitch and wash out the stabilizer, it has that lacy look.
