Last May (2012), we visited this beautiful area in Colorado. We visited early in the day - the air was crisp and the sky brilliantly blue.
While driving through the park, it is impossible to see the canyon. There are many parking areas with trails to overlooks. We stopped at every one of them - many nice brisk walks to the overlooks.
