Evaluating my stash of hand dyed fabrics - I decided I needed to add some more darker, more muted shades. I still had the soda ash solution from the 6 step gradations I dyed earlier using my "conservation dyeing" process. (click on link to find out more)
So, I mixed up some intense blacks and did two three step gradations.
Then, since they all looked so purple - I overdyed using deep gold and emerald green.
The results are pleasingly different. Unusual and muted - something a textile artist can not have too much of!
They are really beautiful!
