The climate is really too dry for ferns to grow here in Montana, but I brought some home from my sister's yard in Portland last spring. I did a series of prints before they started to wilt.

The butterfly image is from a photograph I took during a hike in the Beartooth Mountains.
This piece is 12 inches square.

Cynthia, I'm loving these recent pieces you've been showing us, with the gelatin prints. They're just beautiful!
Cynthia - I was wondering, do you just do the thermofax print of the bird/butterfly then go back in with paint to add the color? Or do you use multiple screens?
