If you recall this fabric has a wonderful irregular skyline that I wanted to preserve with the printing. To do so, I used masking tape. On the photo above, you can see the blue printing on the masking tape. I will pull this off before printing the earth.

When you posted the sky prints yesterday, I had forgotten about your wonderful painted earth/sky process (too many interesting other posts), but now I can see the progress you are making and am excited to watch the whole creation evolve. Using the Lumiere was inspired!
