Sedona - Boynton Canyon Hike

At the trailhead for Boynton Canyon Trail. This is located in Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness. A permit is required to park at the trailhead here.

This is our third visit to Sedona. We love this area for many reasons, but the red rocks are really spectacular.
Along the way.

We went just past the base of this white mountain, then turned back because the sun was going down.

As we drove out, we saw a herd of wild havolina. We'd never seen these creatures before. Wasn't quick enough to get a picture.

Fabulous pictures!!! I live in Mesquite, about 45 minutes on I-15 north of Valley of fire. We moved here from Iowa. I love the beauty of the desert. Glad you had a nice time.

We're going to AZ in March/April and hope to spend a day or 2 in Sedona. How long was this hike? We love to day hike!

Your photos are gorgeous!
