This piece is finished. It measures 56 x 31", so it cannot be used for the exhibition in question. However - I do like this quite a lot. It is dramatic and has movement in spite of the fact it is the same block printed repeatedly. I could do something like this in a 40 x 40" square.

Definitely a possibility. I like that the squares you stamped on have color variations instead of just being flat solid colors...
Wow!! That is eye catching. Something similar to that with the first fabric you showed would certainly be stunning. The black fabric sashing really sets off the color and pattern.
The black background makes the squares pop with color. They also have the feel of their uniqueness while being connected through the same design.
I think you're onto something here. Ditto what the others have said.
