Meyers Creek trailhead is not far from the cabin. Because of this, there was quite a bit of traffic on the road near the cabin. One morning, we got up early to investigate the trail heading up Meyers Creek.

We met people on the trail who told us the hike to the saddle is about 5 miles, and gives a wonderful overlook. We only hiked for an hour before we turned back. It was necessary to cross the creek several times and I did get my feet muddy. I doubt the creek is a problem most of the time.
