Palisade Falls is just 1 mile from Maxey Cabin. I hiked to the falls twice! It is really striking and a great place to visit. There is a trail from the parking lot that is just 1/2 mile. My 84 year old mother hiked to the waterfall for the first time in her life! Special times!

Beautiful! It reminds me of Devil's Postpile near Mammoth Mountain in Calif., except there are no falls there. Congrats to your mother... awesome accomplishment!
