We'd hiked 5 miles from our basecamp at Rainbow Lake by the time we arrived at spectacular
Impasse Falls.
The wide pool below the falls is called Duggan Lake and is at 8,840 feet altitude.
After a snack, we climbed the trail that took us up to the top of Impasse Falls.
The trail allowed for various wonderful waterfall views.

Simply stunning! I'm a beginner novice hiker and I find a peace within myself when I hike that I don't get anywhere else.
