The background for this piece is a fingerpainted monoprint. The crow is screen printed directly onto the fingerpainted fabric, so this is a whole cloth piece (as much of my work tends to be).
I'm glad you posted this square! I keep meaning to go back to your article in "Quilting Arts" and try the finger painting technique which sounds so fun and easy. I just had a knee replaced and this sounds like a good project to get me back in the swing. Thanks!
