All the kids were total troopers for this hike, which ended up being about 6 miles, total with some bushwacking and creek crossings, several thunder and rain storms.
One other incident - I twisted my ankle. Here it is (below) in full swollen form the day after the hike.
Here are our muddy boots and shoes. I spent an entire day cleaning boots and clothes after this hike!
Ouch! That looks really sore... hope you have recovered! And I so relate to the boot cleaning... around here during Monsoon season, it's a regular thing!
