While visiting Dinosaur National Monument, we drove to the end of the road, because we wanted to see the terrain, as well as the petroglyphs in the area. This was our first stop - up the trail - in the sheltered alcove - we saw what we call the alien (below)

Louisa, if you go - let me know there are other really fabulous petroglyphs nearby that I have not yet put up on the blog. I will give you directions - they are on private property, but the owners allow people to come and look.
