Yuma Date Farm

Yuma, Arizona was our next destination as we explore the southwest for a winter home.  I was surprised to learn there is so much agriculture in Yuma.  Reportedly, this region produces 90% of the nation's winter greens!  We enjoyed our visit to a local date farm.  I am not normally a big fan of dates, but these are amazing!  So plump and soft!

I'm sure there will be more posts on this topic... it just struck me that maybe you should consider RV-ing for the winter. That way, you could visit several warm spots during the winter months! On the other hand,it would be more settling to have one spot, I'm sure.
