Lake at Falls Fishing - Beartooth Mountains

Our third day of the trip was an opportunity to kick back a bit. We only hiked 4 miles - round trip to Lake at Falls. We planned to try fishing. This lake contains Golden Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Golden - Cut Hybrids.

The weather was incredibly calm, bright and sunny, and the lake became a mirror. Above and below, are pictures of trout rippling the surface.

It was an incredible day - one that really validated all the sweat it took to get there, and the investment of time away from our busy lives at home.

I kept pinching myself . . . this was truly one of the most beautiful days I have ever spent in the mountains!
