Snow Dye Silk

Raw Silk, Frozen, dyed with Truffle Brown and Chocolate Brown dyes. Here are some detail images of the raw silk.

I needed some brown fabric for the pillows I plan to make for our newly decorated family room. It was below zero outside, so I froze the soda ash soaked fabric before bringing it in and pouring the dye over. Nice patterning huh?

Wow!! What beautiful fabric can be created from that white stuff. Almost makes me wish I were wintering in Michigan rather than AZ. Can't wait to see how you use it. Ginny

I love it! Ice dyeing is one of my favorite techniques, but I haven't tried it on silk... raw or otherwise yet. I look forward to seeing the finished pillows!
