This is the very sheer synthetic fabric that I purchased specifically for this Zinc piece. I hand painted it with Pebeo Setacolor Fabric Paints, then cut it roughly to size and fused Mistyfuse to the wrong side. I then laid out the zinc squares in a grid - 6 x 9, leaving about 1" between them.
