Making a Zinc Sandwich
My next step for this piece was to lay another piece of hand painted sheer fabric over the top of the fused fabric with the zinc squares placed all over it. Fortunately, my Teflon ironing surface is the right size. The entire piece fit on my ironing surface. So....I ironed it, fusing the fabric together where it made contact, trapping the zinc in the grid formation with the 1" spaces between. It was surprisingly cohesive.

Hi Cynthia,
What fabric did you use for the sheer portion? I like what you're doing - very innovative. You really think outside the box!
I so enjoy all your posts - thanks for the great photos and a peek into your creative process.
