Distractions

I have posted to my blog on a daily basis for about two and a half years.

Between my studio activity and my travels - I have managed to find something new (and potentially interesting) to post each day.

As of January 1, 2011, my husband and I have begun an intensive renovation of our 30 year old home. We are doing much of the labor ourselves, and this has really cut into both my studio time and any chances for travel.

I fear my posts will drop off significantly over the next few months, since I don't think my audience is going to find pictures of a gutted living room all that interesting . . . (and frankly, I don't really want to take pictures of my place looking like this!)

Anyway, advance apologies to those who have come to look forward to that daily art or travel post. I will continue with my Mail Art Project, so that is guaranteed to show up on Mondays. I am also adding a weekly travel post on Tuesdays for places I have failed to get posted on the blog in the past.

Bear with me - I will be back in my studio soon, I hope!

CYnthia! Best of luck on the renovations! I'll bet I'm not the only one who would enjoy pix of your renovation...at least a before vs after!

I don't mind the wait, Cynthia. I'm busy doing things as well as I leap into the new year and a little less blog time benefits more than one person. :)

Wow! Sounds like a big undertaking, but I'm sure it will be worth the effort (at least show us when it's finished!!!) I'll miss your art projects, which always inspire me, but your postcards will keep me tuned in, as well as the gorgeous photos of Montana. Good luck.

You will be sorely missed, but I don't blame you for wanting to get the renovations done! I'm planning to do some painting inside this year, and I'm sure that will take up lots of my time as well. Hope everything comes out just the way you want it, and I'll keep checking in to see what is new!

Cynthia..I am jealous that you get to renovate! I am still waiting to move forward on setting the attached garage into a studio for both of us.
I can't imagine the images floating in your head as you sew wood, sheet rock etc. I also am anxious to see the WAV torsos. Enjoy the labor and then enjoy the labors! Marybeth
