Kitchen sink

Here is my Elkay eGranite kitchen sink in Mocha. It is a composite of 80% ground up quartz and epoxy. It is a 10" deep, 33" wide single basin sink and the sink base is 33" wide. It is to be an undercounter installation, but the sink actually did not quite fit so the installer had to use a router on the cabinet base to make room for the sink along the sides - sandwiched between the granite countertop and the cabinet base.

I'm looking into a granite sink right now, and would prefer brown. Yours is one of the few single bowl models that I've found. Now that you've lived with it for a few months, how do you like it?

I really like my sink. It always looks great. LOVE the size and depth. I would recommend it.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm torn between one like yours or the Blanco rectangular one. Really want brown, but hubby is a bit skeptical!

Well, I LOVE the fact that it is brown. I had a white cast iron sink before and it seemed to constantly look dirty. The brown always looks good. It doesn't show tea and coffee stains at all. Furthermore, it cleans up nicely with a little dish soap on a sponge as opposed to the white cast iron that required major scrubbing with abrasive cleaners. I'd say it really depends on how it looks with your countertop and faucet, etc. We considered black granite, to match the appliances, but I love the way the brown looks with the oil rubbed faucets and the Baltic Brown granite.

After being able to see the Blanco in a local showroom, I took the plunge and ordered the cafe brown one this morning. While black would probably match our quartz countertops the best, there is some brown in there, and that's what I'd prefer to highlight. The sink will be undermounted, so it won't really be a focal point. (Not like the apron front, copper that I really wanted!) Our appliances are black & S.S., but I'm planning on using antiqued/oil-rubbed bronze fixtures.
Again, I really appreciate your input. Thank you.
