Mail Art Project - Week Forty Nine

This week's Mail Art was created with fingerpainted fabric as the background. Then, I screen printed over the top with images of burned out trees. The trees above are in Emerald Hills - the neighborhood where I live. We have been twice forced to evacuate our home due to wildfires. Both times, houses within 1/4 mile of our place burned to the ground!
The second group is a screen print from a photograph I took of trees along the trail to Glacier Lake in the Beartooth Mountains.

Today's Quote:

"How is it that one match can start a forest fire,
but it takes a whole box of matches to start a campfire?"
- Christy Whitehead-

Extra postcards are going out this week to Linda in Sale, Cheshire, England
Leslie in Great Falls, Montana and
Joy in Anglesea, Australia,

Beautiful postcards. I love the silhouettes of the trees against that bright and firey background

And I can testify that they look even better in the flesh, thanks Cynthia.
