Bannack


The Bannack Methodist Church was built in 1877. Circut riders and traveling ministers served communities like Bannack. Cemetery Hill is right behind the church.

You can see inside the church in my image below.

A second jail was built in Bannack, but nobody really knows when or who built it.
It stands right next to the first jailhouse.

It is about twice the size as the original jail, and with much bigger windows.

The Paintbrush growing in Bannack is different from the one we usually see in the mountains.
Checking my wildflower reference, I think this one is called a Desert Paintbrush.
On the hillside above the buildings, you can see the faint scars left behind by the miners who found gold there.
